Great color choice! Paint looks really good. The MPC B/RB engines seem to be a bit on the large side. (Too tall it seems) The MPC Hemis seem a bit wide as well... That Revell RB engine is definitely a good choice for this. Thinking about doing a 6 Pack 440 in mine. I have a fireball 6 pack set up screaming to get used.

The interior and chassis are done.   Now on to the body decals BMF and clear coat. |

Thanks for the comments guys! Although it’s a “retro” kit it’s still pretty nice. I did swap out the chassis and engine (that’s just what I do….) but it would have built up nice straight outta the box. The body looks great and since it’s a new tool Round 2 saw fit to add positive locating pins throughout. Yea! Also the clear headlight lens are a welcome addition! I can’t wait for the hardtop version to come out!

I too am Chomping at the bit for the hard top version!!! Very minor trimming around the transmission tunnel. Here’s another chassis that I have shaded where I trimmed the one I used. Also the Coronet body is a tad narrower just behind the rear wheel openings requiring me to cut a little off there as well.   |

This turned out to be a GREAT looking finish! As others have mentioned, that color looks outstanding on this car as does the detail work that you put into it. I haven't built a convertible car just yet as it really takes a well built and painted interior to go with that open top and you did just that with this car. Beautiful work Alan.  |
