That is a fantastic collection of car kits Kyle. Love the array of different subjects. Certainly some that I've never been aware of.

Yes I thought I had too many also, but it turns out I am a rookie. Lol. From what I've seen you acquire since you joined MSC you are putting that rookie status in the rear view mirror.

So....pics are up. When do I get to start acquiring some of these cool kits?? Oh my Dupes… I don’t know what to say about your stash. Is that why your handle is Dupes? Because you have multiples of the same kit? Oh dear, oh dear… I’ll have to do a deep dive to see if the SF3D Hornisse kits are two complete kits. I recall buying one second hand that had a junked PKA suit. But if the two kits in the photo are complete, I would not mind parting with one. I’ll let you know this week. Okay that dive was not too deep. It helped that most of my MaK stash is in a marked box! But i had to keep shoo-ing away my sister’s cat out of the Deep Stash. So I have one shrink-wrapped Hornisse for you Dupes! PM me and we can discuss.

But I see something I want to build for a good price I have to go ahead and buy it. I have plans for all of my kits except maybe a few that were given to me but I intend to build them all

Keith, Thank You for stating up the obligatory stash thread. I was wondering when someone would eventually jump start this. It is always a thrill to not only see the size of folks stashes, but to also see all the cool kits that are squirreled away in said stashes. I get to see stuff I never even knew existed. This is just plain fun. Having looked at the stashes shared so far all I can say is WOW! You folks have some really impressive collections. Some are beyond my comprehension. I am in awe at Marc's, Carlos', Matt's and John's. Someone out there has to be in the Fortune 500 judging from the shear number of kits amongst our members. With that, it is time to share my stash. Mine is scattered all about my hobby room. On shelves, in cabinets and stuffed in the closet. I also have a number in totes stashed at my mom's house until I get my storage school bus reorganized. You will also notice that I have post it notes on a number of my kits. This how I keep track what AM parts I have in each individual kit. Somebody likes Corsairs! Tons of good stuff in here. I have so many suggestions as to where to go next if you're ever "undecided" (Trumpeter Tu-22 *cough*).

Guess it's my turn to spam photos of my stash, since I just mostly finished organizing. Mine is also scattered out in closets, cabinets and totes. So several photos incoming. There's also 1 more cabinet and another tote but I haven't gone through those yet. This is most of what I have. So many hard-to-find Tamiya kits in here. I wish! Those Lambos are pretty hot...same with the RX-7. Who makes that kit?

No way I'm dragging out 3000 kits to take a picture, but here is what is in ready storage in a utility room/office, the rest is in the workshop, attic, and basement. A man after my own heart. Are we the same person??? Let me know if you ever decide you want to trade away your Wingnut Fokker D.VII F. I missed that boxing, and can't finish my collection without it!

After seeing some of these stashes, I had to show my wife and say that mine isn’t so excessive in comparison…

Kit production doesn't last a lifetime. A stash does.

Not to mention that there are times of feast and famine with extra income. When my wife and I were both pulling in great paychecks, and eBay was still full of bargain sellers, my stash grew bigtime.... a few years later during the "Great Recession" I was lucky to have to extra money for supplies...

Random musings…
1. Total number of kits owned by this bunch? 2. Value of said kits? 3. Purchase cost of said kits? 4 Assuming for argument, a 6 week build time, total weeks ?
99:000 kits on the wall, 99,000 kits Take one down, buy 10 more 99,010 kits in the wall.

Ok, I suddenly feel very inadequate and I believe some of you have more kits than my LHS. It's hard to show my stash cause it's on top shelves of two closets.

You'll have to bargain with my grandson when I've gone West! Hahaha...shoot me his email, I'll make him an offer. Aw man, when local journalist, author, historian, and fellow modeler Burl Burlingame passed, he left an entire WALL of WnW kits. Funny that I was the only guy looking them over. If only time travel were possible I would have gladly nabbed any WnW kit of your choosing. He had multiples of pretty much every kit they did. I bought the Black Flight Triplane, Brown’s Camel, and a Roland C.II.

The guy running the model sale said that if there were no other takers, he was considering selling them as a single lot on Ebay. WW I is a niche modeling genre, and only a few guys I know here in Hawaii are into that sort of thing. Actually, I got into WW I after playing a flight sim. It was a lot of fun dealing with engine torque on the rotary engine fighters (scouts). The game piqued my interest in biplanes, and then armor followed. But it was a barren No Man’s Land in the 1990s for armor kits, where Emhar and Tauro ruled the battlefield.

I sure hope those classic Aurora and Monogram cars are among the kits that Atlantis now owns, and were not part of the great train wreck, alien abduction or whatever the current rumor that claims the disappearance of many of those old kits.
