Beautiful build. Scary amount of chrome but you handled it like a champ. Bet it looks even better in person..

It looks great with the slight rake. Love the chrome work you did on this! Thanks Brent. That stance was just what I wanted for this build. The stance is perfect. The '59 Biscayne that I briefly owned had the reverse of that. The rear end sat about 4 inches lower than the front. Looked like it was ready to take off at any minute.

Looks good, Kyle. I too like the wheels and you did a nice job on the foil. For the tub, just take a brush and dab some paint in there. Nobody will tell the difference.

I considered using a brush and I considered cutting up a painted playing card to slide in there and then I decided I didn’t care. No one. And I mean no one, will ever look at this model again and even more especially underneath. No one cares about my builds at home and when I die I have no doubt they’ll Al be promptly chucked in the garbage. 🤣 I could really just build all my kits curbside with the hood glued down and unpainted chassis’s. But I do the other stuff for me.

Gorgeous, I do love the '59's. As a side note, you could carefully brush paint that tub and noone would be the wiser. Excellent build!!

Kyle! This is an incredible looking finshed project. I started going back through the build log itself (thanks for posting the link). The depth of the overall color, the polish, the sharply cut edges and the sleek curves are perfectly represented. Bravo!

I like to post the build thread link in case people who find the finished product have missed the build thread. I…struggle to remember to keep my build threads totally up to date as I get to working and don’t think of photos. So I apologize for the skipping ahead in that thread. I appreciate you checking it out. Thank you again for your very kind remarks.

You really nailed the whole look of this car well Kyle. I absolutely LOVE the wheel/ tire combo on this as it puts an already plush build over the top. Beautiful work buddy.

There's something special about Monogram car kits. I think for the builder there is also that incredible moment when the shapes come together under the color coats. You can feel that happening here. Great interior as well! Cheers.

This one was a heck of a lot of fun. And the wheels just called out to me from the parts box. There's something special about Monogram car kits. I think for the builder there is also that incredible moment when the shapes come together under the color coats. You can feel that happening here. Great interior as well! Cheers. You’re absolutely correct. And I think the old monogram car kits are the “touchstone” in the car world that you, yourself touched on in your thread. This is one of their more complicated kits. But as a rule their kits were simple to build, yet also with nice detail and easily elevated to the next level by the right builder. Monogram kits remain special and are a joy to build today. Luckily Revell still repops several of them. I have recent repops of the ‘69 gto, ‘70 firebird and Mack AC stake truck. Plus a couple of the original boxings of others. They were a great manufacturer.
