I did one of those about 12 years ago... replaced the kit guns with some Verlinden .50's, but otherwise OOB. It's a nice old fun simple kit, but its' age sure shows...  |

I have the newer 1/72 little brother in my stash so I’ll be looking forward to this. Newer is an under statement! The 1/48 is ancient 1967 molds and the 1/72 are brand new 2021. I would do the 1/72 but like the scale of the old one better. My plan (when I get to this project at the age of 112) is to use the instructions from the 1/72 to build up a full interior in the 1/48. Looks to be a straight forward scratch build since there is absolutely nothing inside the old one. |

I could do that.”. It doesn’t look I,possible, though. My problem is cutting square/straight pieces.  |

I built the 1/72 scale Revell one a couple years back, complete with interior:    Lyle, this is probably the one you saw since I had posted it on SPAM, among other places. Like I said, I built this is either 2022 or 2023. |

This thing goes together pretty fast. Swiftly, one might say and I did just that.  Odd thing, though. The railings did not fit properly. I actually did several dry fits. The holes for mounting were a tiny, tiny bit to small and the one forward with the angled piece was too far forward. So, I added a small piece of plastic.  |

I can't even count the number of times I've picked that kit up off the shelf, but leave the store without it. It is something I'd like to build but it has always annoyed me that it isn't 1/72 or 1/35 to match the PT and E boat kits (1/72) or the PBR (1/35). I have the newer 1/72 little brother in my stash so I’ll be looking forward to this. Who makes that? As above the scale has always been an annoyance to me. 1/48 makes it something of an orphan for floaty things. |
