I remember the HiMAT program back in the day.  As a kid, I wondered if there was any point in trying to take the pilot out of the cockpit.  I do recall one of the stated advantages was that you could have a fighter maneuver at over 12+ Gs, which would be more than a human could take.  But that was 40 years ago, and with the advancement of AI plus the proliferation of military drones, that day might be just around the corner.

In the 1990s anime Macross Plus, a supermaneuverable drone went up against a human piloted fighter in the denouement.  That's when the super villain defeats the hero.  I learned that from watching "The Tick".  

I think the HiMAT is a perfect subject for Clear Prop Models, since they already did the D21.
