One of my WIP's is Tamiyas 1/350 of the Yamato Battleship. Here's 2 photos of one of the main guns. I'm trying to identify the tubular piece at the rear, inside of the gun turret. It swings on it's central post.
I Googled the heck out of it, to no avail. Does anybody know what it is? The hobby knife is pointing to it in the photos.
Thanks

That is a shell rammer . The last pick is not a Yamato turret but the shell rammers are pretty much standard in one form or another , German , U. S. A , etc. postimages.org/] postimages.org/] postimg.cc/YvQZBJ6f] postimages.org/]

Cheyenne gotcha' covered.
The shells of Yamato's main battery weighed over 3,000 pounds each so it would take a very hefty piece of equipment to shove them in there!
