Thanks Kyle.  But I realized I still had more to do on the trans assembly.  It's missing shocks and sway bars to name a few.

I needed to do the decals on the shocks before installing them, so it became tiny decal day.   And since the dash decals where done, it was only natural to finish the dash assembly.

The last remaining noticeable difference is the end plates on the rear wing.  The ones supplied in the kit are from the early version.  So I took the p/e endplates out to my bench grinder and got them as close as I could.






Next thing to do was to ensure that the front and back halves of the model would mate up correctly.  They are connected by a screw that goes through four pieces.  the chassis,  the roll bar,  the oil tank and the front engine cover.  I put those pieces together and epoxied in the blue locators for the top of the chassis.





After taking the joint apart,  I epoxied the two triangular pieces together.  After letting everything set-up overnight, it was time for a few glamour shots.

Thanks Brent.  But the power train wasn't officially mated in those pictures.   


But it is now.  I added the shocks, sway bars, exhaust tips and misc. hoses to it.

lovely work, as always. Can I ask for your process on the fuel lines? I tried getting that look on the Lotus but had trouble. Two different size lines? one inserted into the other?

Thank you James.   You guessed it.  Two different sizes of lines.  The yellow line is very short.  Just enough to stay inside the black line.

So I turned my attention to other things....like getting the wheels and tires squared away.




But I've had a setback.  While fitting the front suspension pieces to the chassis, I managed to break a lower control arm.  I sent a email out to the folks at MFH to buy a replacement.  So while I wait for it, this WIP goes onto the back burner.

I have several cutting mats. The one I took the engine pictures on is a brand new one that hasn't seen paint or C/A.

Thanks Kyle.  I sent them an email yesterday and when I checked my inbox this morning there was an invoice which I paid. Quick reply considering the time difference. Now we'll see how fast it gets here.

I emailed MFH on Monday.  Paid the invoice on Tuesday. Got the part today. Considering that they are in Japan, which is 16 hours ahead of me time wise, that's 3 day shipping.   I can't say enough about the great service from MFH.
