Paul! Good to see you coming back to the bench! And what a great subject to dive back in on. The Tyrrell 006 is a looker and I love the backstory and that you were able to see these race. This is going to be a fun build to follow.

Great start, and I love the backstory on the kit and your interest in this particular subject! …it’s always fascinating to see what and why a kit means so much to us, and it makes that particular build so much more interesting for me, so thanks for sharing!!! Following along.

This will be fun to watch. I have a 1/20 Ebbro Tyrrell 003 in the stash! I'll have to follow along and write down what paint/color you use

Paul! Good to see you coming back to the bench! And what a great subject to dive back in on. The Tyrrell 006 is a looker and I love the backstory and that you were able to see these race. This is going to be a fun build to follow. Thanks Kyle. I initially tried to get to the Monaco GP, but got snapped up for week-end guard duty. It's a good thing since getting a good view of the track at Monaco was very difficult. Great start, and I love the backstory on the kit and your interest in this particular subject! …it’s always fascinating to see what and why a kit means so much to us, and it makes that particular build so much more interesting for me, so thanks for sharing!!! Following along. Thanks Emory. This will be fun to watch. I have a 1/20 Ebbro Tyrrell 003 in the stash! I'll have to follow along and write down what paint/color you use Thanks John. Hopefully I can inspire you to break that kit out and build it. Great to have you back at it! I'll be following this one. Love the subject! Thanks Brent. The two main differences that are visible in the two versions are the sidepod/engine cover and the extra fin off of the airbox. The extra fin is easy. It's an add-on which I can leave off. But the side pods had to go under the knife. So after double and triple checking my photo references, I crossed my fingers and did some surgery. The main chassis pieces have been drilled and fitted. Once the engine block was together, I assembled the exhaust. 109

Nice surgery on the side pods. It looks like the powertrain/suspension is a build upon itself with the amount of parts you need to assemble

Very cool! I haven't seen a multimedia kit like this before. Can't wait to see the rest of the build.

Very cool! I haven't seen a multimedia kit like this before. Can't wait to see the rest of the build. Oh, an Introduction to MFH kits? You couldn’t ask for a better builder to take you along for the journey. These kits from this manufacturer are incredibly detailed and sometimes really difficult to get to cooperate. But when someone like Paul gets ahold of one then look out. You’re going to have a killer build coming.

Sorry to hear that you lost your modeling buddy Paul. That would indeed take the wind out of one's sails for building. It is good to see you back at the bench and online. I'll be bookmarking this one pal.

Ok, this is already quite impressive. I love stuff like this. Bookmarked. Thanks Brandon. It's great to have you following along. Quick and excellent work as usual Paul. Engine looks great and it looks like the body work is looking awesome too Thanks Kyle. I was quite nervous to be hacking up an expensive kit. Nice surgery on the side pods. It looks like the powertrain/suspension is a build upon itself with the amount of parts you need to assemble Thanks Brent. It's like joining a bunch of mini kits into one large one. Oh yes. This will be great. Sorry to hear about the loss of your buddy. Very wonderful story on the Germany GP. Good luck on this one Paul! Thanks James Very cool! I haven't seen a multimedia kit like this before. Can't wait to see the rest of the build. Thanks Mike. One of the reasons I got hooked on MFH kits is because there is no need to buy additional upgrade kits. MFH supplies everything. Turned aluminum parts, wire, p/e, vacuum form parts, etc. Sorry to hear that you lost your modeling buddy Paul. That would indeed take the wind out of one's sails for building. It is good to see you back at the bench and online. I'll be bookmarking this one pal. Thanks Joe. Losing Mike was quite the blow. We've been modeling/contest buddies for over 8 years. Basic chassis is done. I painted the resin pieces in Tamiya TS-30 Silver Leaf. The white metal pieces were sent through my magnetic polisher to shine them up. The white metal sides and floor were so large that I had to polish them one at a time. Once the chassis was assembled, I started to get the roll bar and pieces fitted. I also got the body work in primer. Couldn't help but fit body pieces on for a glamour shot. 262

Great pic. Usually see the inside front lifting. Only place I've experience inside back lifting is go-karting - this is a super fast stiff chassis go-kart!

There are 2 places where the cars will get airborne on it. I'm sure that pic is the smaller of the two jumps.

Every time I see the elf logo, I expect to see the six-wheeler. This is a really interesting body style.

Looks great. The 1/20 Ebbro kit (003) comes with them in bubble pack. I had one of those Ebbros. The fact they did the mirrors like that impressed me. It's always good to have references and it sure looks like you made some good use of 'em at that Paul. Thanks Joe. Awesome Paul!! Looks like a great reference and you nailed those mirror brackets. Thanks Kyle Side mirror looks wonderful! I love books to fall back onto for detailing Thanks Brent. The only drawback to a book like that is I spend too much time gazing through it. Man....I just back read this whole thread. Paul you are a maestro. This build is fantastic Thanks TJ. I can't take all the credit for the build. Most has to go to the fabulous kit MFH turns out. Since I just got done with the wiring and fuel lines, I thought I'd show the engine progression thus far. 505
