Thanks for the comments guys. I really do appreciate input on things like this. It's been over 10 years since the last one of these kits I built. Update... I got the decals sanded and damaged a bit. On a few I think it's a little too much, basically just on the head. I'll probably try to repair them just a tad bit. Sprayed another layer of gloss. Then added a burnt umber oil wash, which I accidentally left on for WAY to long. Like 2 days too long. I sanded most of it off, I'm not really concerned with it. I'll use what I couldn't get off as the base for future weathering. Then sprayed AK satin vanish on the parts.

uPDATE... Yesterday I gave every part 3 shots of raw sienna oil filter. Let everything dry over night. This morning I gave all the edges a drybrush of black oil paint. Hoping that after it dries I can do paint chips with just the normal dark yellow I used on the basecoat. Now I have to let it sit for a few days.

It looks great all together! You really balanced the weathering perfectly all over this. It makes the eye wander over all of it

Thank you. Update... I've been dealing with a problem at work that took time away from the deck. Now it's done so back to real work... Installed all the clear parts. The red is Mr color clear read. I'm testing AK inks on this kit. I need to do more reading on them. The feet are very unstable, so I will need to make a base for this one and permanently attach it.

I am catching up after being away for few weeks and I want to say that this is FREAKING awesome!!! The weary camo look is the BEST part... I started a trumpeter E100 that I'm more than likely going to paint similar to this. Brushing the camo on was so much easier than spraying it on. There's a couple of areas where the paint doesn't look too good, but they have been covered by weathering.

Was looking at this thread on my phone earlier but I really dislike commenting to builds while on the phone because I always fat finger the keyboard and wind up taking twice as long to comment as it should take. The weathering and paint work that you are putting into this one is just breathtaking buddy. Man.....a guy could learn a thing or two by the processes that you're using here.

I have the same problem, except I don't have a laptop or PC right now. I've just had to make due with my phone for a while. Update... I've been working oils and enamels for rust and streaks. Some of the rust is a bit too bright, so I'm toning it down. I started with orange oil and worked in burnt umber oil and testor flat rubber enamel. The some black streaks here and there. I still want to add some dirt and whatever I can come up with, no plan again. Feet are still loose. I've been trying to pose it slightly different ways to get them to stay. But it's not really good. So base it is.

Some stuffs... Kinda bad lighting here. I was reading more about Ma.K and how to paint them. Longvstory short, I saw the term "Ma.K is freedom" several times. So I let myself go and started working more weathering in. I used several different oils splattered on the feet. Rust colored oils here and there. Started working darker colors into the crevices and under the armor. Lightly splattered a dark premade wash all over. Then used some old and different grit sanding sponges to knock some of it down a bit. I went into hobby lobby to get stuff to make mud and look for some kind of base, saw kits at 40% off and forgot to get stuff for mud and some kind of base.

Not finished... All the oils are dry, so I'll start some streaks today. Maybe more rust just for the hell of it.
