It was a new 1964 Jag stolen and dumped in the Pine Barrens on Eastern Long Island. Dad got it in lieu of recovery, towing and storage charges. It was scratched and scrapped from going of road, engine and trans blown up and mot of the leather interior was slashed up from pure spite. Pop was tired of racing what became my chevy d/gas car and had a 426 Wedge and 4 speed from a rolled over 64 Plymouth so this was built. Blown injected 426 on gas, 4 speed. The rear was stick Jag with 4:10 with welded spiders.Pop machined a set of adapters for the rear mags, gutter it and ran b/gas for 2 or 3 years. I have the remains behind my barns still. It ran mid 9's as I recall.

I remember this story and the model behind it Paul. It's cool to see what your dad did with it and then again neat to see you build a model of it. 9's dude??!! WOW!!

That is totally cool, both the original and the model! 🤩 Hat's off coolness, in fact! Color me impressed! 😁

What a superb tribute replica you crafted! The story is great and the fact you still have what's left of the original is even better!

My very favourite type of build is a car that somebody used to actually own and this is a prefect example of that!

That's awesome. Don't see too many Jags at the strip! Great build of a unique subject - all in the family.
