Welcome Stuart, I'd luv to see some of the Spitfires! Alas I don't have most of them at the moment, they're in storage back in England.
This was the last one I built, sort of a what-if based on a short story my daughter wrote...
And an Eduard 1/48 mk.XVIe
And a couple of Airfix 1/72 builds...

I'll have to post up some WIP, although two of my builds are so far advanced that I'm not sure If I should just wait and post them as finished builds - I'll post my C-130 build though, that's still in the build phase.

Nice! Luv the Red Herring!
Thanks! I built it for my daughter. She wrote a short Steampunkesque story for me last year, about an eccentric RAF pilot and his Sandwich Tern Sidekick that flew a red Spitfire Floatplane in search of a Clockwork Kraken.
It's actually the PM models mk.V Spitfire Floatplane kit with a few mods. An awful kit, but good enough for this.

Just to show I can actually use an Airbrush as well, although only once - I painted up this converted Hobbyboss Buffalo last year. Frist and so far only time at painting a full kit with an Airbrsuh, Frist go at freehand Camo. It also has a scratch-built cockpit of sorts to replace the lack of detail.
Not brilliant but not bad for a first attempt - I really must have another go.
Cheers!

Thanks! Kind of went a bit OTT on the chipping, but I was pleased with the paint.

That's a spiffy looking Buffalo there Stuart. More good work from you brother. I will say that I would have thought that a Hobbyboss kit would've had more detail included in the cockpit area.....but hey....you took care of that with the scratch built parts.

It was one of their quick build ones, so pretty lacking in detail.

Welcome from cold wet Maine. Beautiful work particularly the RED Spit on floats. Looks like an air racer. Just for your info we have a big wet boot and velcro factory up by border to Nova Scotia . . .

Welcome aboard, Stuart! I look forward to seeing your work and learning from you! I build.paint 28mm minis, as well as 15mm, and it’s an awesome, related hobby to modeling… I’m also a miniatures and board wargamer, hence the minis interest!

That's very cool - I'll have to look at sme of your work!
I'm very much a newbie to mini painting, even though I've been dipping in and out of the world of Games Workshop since the 80s. I don't play as such, although I do have a 1st edition copy of Space Hulk that gets an airing now and then, and I used to play a bit of 40K back in the 90s.
What games are you into?
