Excellent!! I just love these old 80s/90s somewhat undesirable cars. Just picked up one of these and a beretta not long ago.

Thanks, All! I appreciate your comments! Its finished! The engine braces gave me fits but I modified them and got them in there a little bit cock-eyed. It went together OK, except for the engine braces, but its out of the closet! Thanks for looking! 😎

Great work!! Nice color combo. Turned out great! Makes me want to dig out my beretta or maybe my Taurus SHO. lol. Right??!! I've got a 94 Grand Prix GTP that I'd like to build after seeing this beauty come together JR. Great detail and paint work bud. These cars have always caught my eye as I entered into the dealership realm in the mid to late 90's when these cars were still mainstream. They also were the forerunners of things yet to come in modern day performance. Back then, front wheel drive V-6 powered cars dipping into the 15's through the 1/4 mile was unheard of and this is back in the day of when average V-8 powered sports cars were putting down 14's. These cars were definitely contenders of the day.

Thanks, All! I appreciate your comments! I just built an 89 Beretta last year and I don't remember if I posted it here or not. Very similar in construction and kit manufacturing although the engine compartment is much better in terms of assembly. Here's a couple of pics for incentive!

I think their sporty versions were the Z26's right? I've worked on a ton of these cars and am fluent in repairing not only the first generation 2.8/ 3/1 engines but also the second generation 3.1 and then on to the dreaded 3.4 liter X motor. The 3.4 was such a tough engine to work on. A strong motor no doubt that powered the Z34 Luminas and GTP Grand Prix to 14 second quarter miles in the mid 90's but it came with a cost. High maintenance and expensive repair bills.

Having said that this is a great looking beretta too! Definitely need to dig mine out.

The S-10 2.8 V6 was a throttle body injected engine whereas the 2.8 in the Beretta’s were a multiport system. Totally different animal. I do know what you are saying about the S-10 2.8. Terrible idea.

One thing that I CAN say about a TBI motor.....they are definitely reliable. I drove my Silverado for 7 years with the stock TBI 350 and didn't put one dime into it.

Still have my ‘87 Silverado with its underwhelming tbi 350 that runs great and the s10 which now acts as my powered wheelbarrow. Lol
