I need 2, please. Willing to buy or steal (if yo put on the porch in a plain envelope). I just don't feel like messing with assembly of the ones from the MPM kit.
Thanks.

Would props from a DC-3 or C-47 work Lyle? The only way around this that I see as far as using one-piece props is to rob them from a kit.

I have a kit I can rob, but that really bothers me to have a kit missing a part. I will if I have too, but I'd rather not. I am planning on contacting Revell Germany in March (they are not taking any parts requests until early, mid-March) to see if they have any if I can't get two from a spares box.

You'll want the skinny early blades, Lyle, perhaps leftovers from an early Academy B-17 which I think had several kinds of props in the kit.

I will dig through my box of parts tomorrow. I can almost be sure I have some B-17 spares in there someplace. Never thought of them as replacements but John is right they are early.

Well, duh....
I think I'm good....It dawned on me this morning (after jeaton's recommendation) that I have an Academy 1/72 B-17. It is the obligatory "Memphis Belle", but it has an extra set props that are not used. Thank you, tcoat and others that offered suggestions.

Ain't it great when you already have the solution to a model problem and didn't even know it?

Hi Lyle! Just had a thought that maybe you could use for future reference. I had the same problem a few years ago. I was getting ready for a show and mysteriously lost a prop. All efforts to find a replacement failed. Ended up I made a spinning prop out of a scrap of clear plastic. Thought it messed up my chances for a medal but Low-and- Behold I got a first place with it. Surprised the heck out of me. Looks good in the curio cabinet too. Stay safe. Jim

Jim, thanks for the suggestion! As I am well known to do, I managed to break the canopy in half, so……
You have any pics of thiss? Congratulations on that save and award!

Hi Lyle! The plane with the spinning props was built quite a few years ago and is now in the WWII museum in Moughton, Penna. I've found 2 photos of it (not very good) but this old coot can't remember what kit it was out of. To make them, I just cut a circle out of clear plastic, drill a hole in the center, put it on a small nut and bolt, place it in a drill and scratch it just a little to simulate the motion. Then I taped the center off, painted the outer edge bright yellow and glued in place. It just so happened that a few days after the show, I went to the museum for a drop-off of completed restored models and to pick up a few more. They were talking about the fact that they needed some bombers (USA-England-Germany) to go with all the fighters they had. I offered the bomber as I needed the room on my shelves and they accepted. The 3 planes in the other photo are ones that I brought home to restore, redo, remake. They were all painted with enamel house paint and a 4 or 5 inch brush. First thing to do was strip the paint then take as much as possible apart and redo. Some were so bad that you couldn't tell what kind of plane it was. One I did was a Me 262 that was painted with Shocking Pink and brown camo. Took a while to get all that paint off. Some were missing parts. They were loads of fun to work on. photos.app.goo.gl/kGQjf6WPdVzsvRt89Stay safe. Jim
