We all know it. I’m sure a bunch of us have gone. But making my semi regular trip over to Wright-Patterson tomorrow to the museum. I’m sure I’ll have some photos tomorrow.

You could easily spend 4 or 5 days there looking at the exhibits if you like to read everything like I do. I tend to focus on one gigantic hangar each trip.

Nothing closed and no visible damage to any of the exhibits. No workmen either. So nothing obvious to the casual visitor at any rate. Had a great visit. The last couple trips I’ve been super focusing on one room at a time. Did WW1 last time and this time it was Ww2s turn.

I've been twice.
1st was 20 years ago, with my toddler...stopped in on a trip from Kansas to Michigan. Toddlers and museums...not a good mix. It was pretty much a walk through and just looking at things while on the move. 2nd trip was 7-8 years ago, with my wife. Stopped in on a return trip from Tn, back to Mi. Got to spend a little more time, but not much. I need to just go by myself!

Absolutely at the top of my bucket list. I have hit many of the top museums in the country, but not Wright-Patterson. When I do it will be an extended stay for sure.

That's a museum I definitely want to go see some day. The one I went to most recently was the SAC Museum in Ashland, Nebraska. I was amazed to see the normally huge-looking B-52 looks like a little dragonfly when it's sitting right next to a B-36. Any pics to share, Kyle?

At least a couple days if you can. I have some photos I can share. Haven’t gotten them into Imgur as yet but I’ll create an album. Most of them are from the WW2 room. Spent a solid 4 hours in there reading basically everything. Most of the other rooms were just a quick walk through. Absolutely at the top of my bucket list. I have hit many of the top museums in the country, but not Wright-Patterson. When I do it will be an extended stay for sure. I recently did the museum, spent 3 days there...it was barely enough! I know. The amount of time you can spend can sneak up on you. I spent 4 hours in the wW2 room alone. It’s been my policy the last few visits to really focus on one section per visit since I’ve at least seen most everything. Now I can go through and catch everything I may have missed.

Sorry guys. Forgot to pull the link for my album and drop it here. This is just 50 of the better photos. As I said, most of my time was spent in the WW2 section so most of the photos are also from there. imgur.com/a/NhKAcir

I went 10 years ago. At the time I still lived in Connecticut, so it was a 12 hour one way. My buddy Joe, his son and my son, both 15, made the trip out on Monday. Stayed at the local Red Roof Inn. Tuesday we were at the Museum as they opened the doors. Left when they closed. Did the same on Wednesday and Thursday. Drove home on Friday. Joe and I needed every second of the 3 full days to walk through. I think I took over 600 pics
