I might be into this build too. I’ll decide when it’s closer to the start time. Heck, I’m having a hard enough time trying to get anything done on the current gb.🤔

Well, after looking at all those stash pics I can see I would be considered way behind the curve. I know yall will have a blast. After all that clam shell work I did on my Indy car it's a shame it never made it past the paint booth Ruck On yall, I'll be watchin.

Hey James - they are beautiful. Very Tamiya'ish. I read that they have former Tamiya folks working there. Well shoot, I guess I have to get them now.

Thanks, John. That body sure looks like the Alfetta I am struggling with. Are they related? The Alfetta is likely one of the 342 different reboxes of the Merit kit from circa mid 50s. Especially if it has clear discs for wire wheels. I don’t believe I e ever seen an Alfetta boxing that wasn’t the Merit kit but I am no expert. There could be others. Yeah, sadly I have the Merit kit as a Masterbox brand, I think. I have been struggling with making some wheels work from a diecast kit. Might be better to find a Heller kit.

Right on! This will be super fun - here, let me tempt you with my stash qualifying kits How are those Ebbro kits. My LHS has them on his shelf.. I have never seen them before. Thought about grabbing them. Buy them. I built the 91 and it was a beautiful kit. Definitely high quality stuff for plastic kits.

I can send you a set of decals for a plain white or black paint job and bobs your uncle. You’ll have an Indy car!! Thanks for the support either way Ski. Appreciated.

Haven’t built them because I haven’t sourced any wheels I like just yet. No way I’ll be using the kit ones.

Realy hard for me to get my head around putting that much into such a marginal kit as the one I have, but those are really nice wheels.

I have very little doubt I’ll end up contacting Fernando Pinto about wheels for this kit. Just as I did on my ancient Aurora Monroe Special. 🤦🏻♂️ Nothing better than $55 wheels on a $9 kit. 😂😂

Back half of the year? I'm sure I could find something to crank out! leaning that way. Would like to give people doing MFH or 1/12 scale stuff plenty of time and also not trying to rush the start. Would love to have you jump in.

I've got some options in the stash, no idea which will float to the top by then but consider me interested.

It's a toss up for me, I'm DEFINITLY in on the GB just trying to deside if I want to build the '78 Lotus, a Renault, or one of my 2 Tyrell 6 wheelers. Choices, choices, choices.

Hey everyone. Some of you may have noticed, but keavdog and myself have been kicking around a group build idea. The theme would be any and all forms of open wheel cars. Indycar, formula 1, sprint cars. Whatever you’ve got or are interested in. I thought I’d Chuck this up here to see how many people would be interested in hopping in something like that. Let us know. Thinking of starting it following the Born in the USA automotive group build we have going on currently. That ends June 1st. We can figure out a good end date for everyone if we have some interest. Thanks! Kyle If you put a year on it I may be interested. I've always wanted to do an open wheel car and I have the perfect kit in my stash.

Maybe start right at the beginning of the back half of the year and then go through front half of ‘25. July to July or something. I’m totally open on the timeline. I want to be sure people doing the big scale or highly detailed kits have enough time too.

And if we go a full year, maybe some folks will build more than one Yes, I would certainly plan on multiple builds if we do a full year. An F1 car, a sprint car or midget, or a pavement modified, an Indy car. Who knows.

You know 2whl…if you decided to do the Honda maybe a guy would build a 1/20 scale version to go along with it…always an idea.
