Choosing the next build

I'm a couple of days late to the party - but I'm voting Fledermaus!

For me, what to build next is governed either by a) if I need a particular contest category I'd like to fill or b) I'm particularly fired up by a movie/picture/something I saw about said build. Occasionally, I could even go with c) I'd really like to get this shelf queen the hell off of my bench, so let's tackle that. Hahaha.

Normally I just build whatever appeals to me at the time, although I do tend to get distracted by Group Builds and the like - that was pretty much my 2023, which is why I'm tending to step away from them now. I have a heap of Spitfire Conversions I want to do, and some small jets and attack choppers - basically too many ideas, nowhere near enough time

I’ve got 3 on the bench, but the Vomag is really calling my name! That little Russian tractor is too cool.

deafpanzer For my next build, I will go with another Ma.K. build, the Nitto Fledermaus.



This will be an OOB build with a little extra detailing thrown in.

Great choice! Quickly, to the Bat Plane!

I’d want aftermarket seamless rocket bells and a resin Brickworks pilot figure with sharper detail.

I am a squirrel modeler, and so I just run around till something goes “ping” in my brain. Or is it more like the red button that pops out of a turkey when it’s done? I’ll stop running, and go “Yeahhhhhhh… I’ll build that!”

No source - it’s a daydream I would like fulfilled. There are 3-D printed and turned aluminum 1/144 Saturn V F1 engines available, but some are overkill and all are very expensive. Brickworks seems to have stopped making their amazing sculpts of MaK figures, and never got to the Fledermaus pilot.
