I've been meanin' to comment on this for a couple of days now and it finally popped back onto my radar screen today JR. The only color harder to pull off other than black is white IMO and you've done a great job with this one. Have you done a mild wash on this interior because the white panels just pop!! Perfect balance of black and white with chrome splashed throughout. I've never seen an OOB dash with plastic over the speedometer either. This is dang near a model in itself.

Thanks, All! I appreciate your comments! Joe, no black wash in the interior, just two coats of Krylon Satin White followed by some Dullcote in short sprits on the interior parts. I've tried blackwashing white before but its very hard to get it on evenly. It looks a bit duller off camera so not quite so shiny. Well, I have had a couple of bad building days. Or more specifically, I spent yesterday correcting the problems I created for myself the day before. Two days ago, I finished the chassis, installed the engine and installed all the window glass. Yesterday, I had just glued in the interior, let the glue dry with clamps on the cowl and was ready to mount the body onto the chassis when the left wing window fell out. I couldn't re-install it with a long toothpick and some Handi-tak because the steering wheel was in the way. So I had to take the interior out and breaking the firewall glue joint. So after the wing window was glued in with some Elmer's Glue this time, and the interior was rebuilt and re-installed, I mounted the body onto the chassis. The rear wheels didn't look right and I then noticed that axle was a bit crooked so I had to take it apart on one side and reassemble. i then put the chassis on the desktop and one wheel was not touching. The front suspension was uneven so I had to take it out as well (its a one piece assembly that mounts separately) taking the engine mounts with it and leaving the engine suspended by the exhaust pipes, radiator hoses and transmission glue joint. I reinstalled the assembly getting it in level this time and now it sits fine on four wheels. So now I am at the final stages, its on four wheels and all I have to do are the bumpers, grill, air conditioning plumbing in the engine compartment, and decals if I can find the right ones to replace the 409 decals in the kit. In my earlier days, I may have given up and put it back in the box and moved on but I persevered and got it back together! Thanks for looking! 😎

Fantastic work. Way to push through the issues and come out the other side. Your hard work has paid off. The color combo is outstanding too. I really like the green on this car.

Maybe it is just a Revell Chevy thing but my '64 SS has it and pretty sure my '58 kit has one as well. JR. Too late now of course but I had the same thing where you really couldn't see the speedo through the plastic because of the shine. I very gently hit it with a 2000 grit sanding stick just to knock the gloss down and you can see the decal as if the plastic wasn't even there.
