You carved the bricks yourself?! Very nice! The little vignette using that figure set turned out great!

I was wondering how you'd been getting along and now I know the deal. Those young tikes will keep a person busy for sure!! Good on you Grandpa!!
What you've done here looks just GREAT Creading. I can't get over how life like your projects look with all the time and efforts that you put into 'em. What was the process you used for the brick wall with the foam board? That looks incredible!

Magnificent! I can't imagine how long it took you to achieve the look with the brick work.

Thank you all for taking he time to comment on the "Stukas im Anflug" vignette. It's always encouraging to have your comments and feedback. What was the process you used for the brick wall with the foam board? 1) I made a couple tools out of popsicle sticks and xacto blades to cut the vertical and horizontal lines defining the bricks. 2) Once they were cut I scribed the lines, horizontal lines with something slightly wider than the blade that cut them. Vertical lines with a jewelers screwdriver. The above step allows the definition of each brick. I really didn't try to be exact since the wall was damaged/destroyed. Some of the mistakes in my cutting or scribing were picked out with tweezers simulating further damage. The wall section was painted with black acrylic and then when dry, individual bricks painted in various 'brick' color. Gloss coat (Future) then various washes. I learned the hard way on my first attempt. After cutting and scribing, I attempted to prime the foamboard with a rattle can grey primer. I didn't realize the board would react with the solvent in the primer. It was only a 'mist coat' but it rendered the first attempt unusable. If anyone is interested, I can put together a tutorial with photos. Cheers, C.
