I haven't been frequenting the site for a while as life has gotten in the way, but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things.
This is one of my older builds from some years ago.
An AMT 1962 Ford Sunliner convertible done in black, with a tr-tone "Chestnut" interior.
Built basically box stock, but with a few added engine bay upgrades, and an engine swap from the newer AMT 1962 Thunderbird kit.
Thanks!
Steve

Lovely, Steve. The overall finish is great but the bumper chrome just hit me right in the eye!

Lovely, Steve. The overall finish is great but the bumper chrome just hit me right in the eye! Thanks guys!
The bumpers had been re-plated many years ago.

Good LORD man!! You really made this one pop Steve. I'm pretty sure that's kit chrome on the bumpers (which look great!) but what did you use to touch up the sprue attachment points? utiful work man.

You just answered my question on the bumper chrome attachment points. Who does your plating?

You just answered my question on the bumper chrome attachment points. Who does your plating? I've had a number of different individuals do my plating over the years, but sadly, I believe that they're all gone now.
It's come to my attention that the last remaining model parts plater, "Little Motor Kar Company", (LMK) has just very recently ceased operations.
A very sad turn of events.
I will continue to search for another outlet for parts plating.
I have very little confidence in chrome paint as a substitute.

Yeesh!!! It is indeed a very sad turn of events. I was looking forward to having someone plate my bumpers after doing all of the necessary clean up work on them. These look GREAT!!!!

Stunning work! I liked the first picture because the car really blended well with the surrounding neighborhood.

This is almost too lovely for words! The perfect black paint work accented by the chrome and detail is a blue ribbon winner all day long!
