I love old Indycars, just the scale the kits are give me fits. But I figured I'd give this a try. It's the old Monogram toy, with some improvements.
I had this to work with
What's usable from the kit, one of Calvin's upgrade sets, plus lots of Evergreen rod. The idea is to full detail everything that's visible.
First I made two separate space frame modules, they get glued together later
basic cockpit
engine bay painted
not much left of the kit body by the time I carved out the junk
installed the cockpit, glued the two halves together, and now try to pretty it up - lots of masking

So it's now pink and cream
secret ingredient, 3D printed Offy from Texas3DCustoms
I'll save the tranny for something else. Some Alclads and a MigAmmo wash
cut a hole in the floor, I believe it's authentic
and it all fit inside
so my latest finished build, the Pink Zinc
I said I'd probably never build another, and then yesterday a box arrived with ........... two more Monogram body shells.
Thanks for looking.
Paul

Another of my favorites Paul! Has to be one of the nicest looking of those old Monogram Kurtis’s I’ve ever seen. Beautiful work.

Beautiful build! I think I have seen the real thing at Indy 500 museum. You will love that museum if you haven’t visited.
