The drive train went together well. It was a nice little sub project. The curious thing about this kit is that the frames have no numbers on it. The paper instructions have the outlines of the sprues and the numbers, so you look on the instruction, then on aforementioned outline, find the piece on it then find it on the sprue.

Looking good. Something I would break about 4 times before finishing it 😂

That is quite a strange situation. Not something you'd expect these days from a regular kit (not short run)... You started off well, however!

Probably a cost savings as they started up and pretty much were still short run. It can be really tricky with them since most of their vehicle kits have massive detail and many parts. Beautiful end results though.

Okay... I never build an ICM kit (besides figs).Still, it is far from modeller friendly, specially with large numbers of parts...

ICM vehicle kits can be tricky enough with all the fine little detail parts without having to go on a quest for each part. The results are worth the work though.

Man that is one good looking drivetrain so far! I'm surprised that they don't have your build the chassis frame at the same time... it looks so unusual without that. The sprues not having the parts number in them but relying only on the drawings on the instructions does sound like an unnecessary waste of time bouncing back and forth to locate a part.

Looking good. Something I would break about 4 times before finishing it 😂 I was afraid of breaking it as it is a bit fragile on that shaft joint.

The sprues not having the parts number in them but relying only on the drawings on the instructions does sound like an unnecessary waste of time bouncing back and forth to locate a part. The chassis comes in many parts, unlike in other kits where it is usually one part. This one has left and right rail, then all the transverse parts, some of which are several pieces. But the parts are of handle friendly size for me and fit well.

What a trip, learn something new every day. I too would have expected the chassis first, but looks like you got this handled, excellent!

OK, the chassis and the engine are mounted on the drive train. It fits well. If it would fit perfectly I would say it fits perfectly. Therefore, it fits well :-)
