I'm not sure if micro brushes will bring you the desired result, if we're talking 'bout the same brushes. What you want is a fine tip 5/0 sable brush for details. Smaller makes almost no sense, because the tip needs to carry some paint and without drying out too quickly. I myself paint even with larger sizes, 3/0 and such, as long as the tip is immaculate. To bring out details, dry brushing is a mighty tool, but always do it at the start of the painting process, then smooth out the transitions with glazes.

Looks like you have the uniform technique down fairly well. Now to get those details such as insignia and decorations going. And of course skin tones, the bane of all aspiring figure painters… All I can say is keep working at it and find what works best for you. It’s a long slow road.
