I started this, one or maybe, two years ago. I cut out the drain holes, placed a piece of timber in the hull to take a couple of brass rods. Painted the insides black and rolled up a piece of black paper to 'fill' the hull and restrict light. I also replaced the steps and hand rails on the conning tower with wire. I also replaced the 'horse shoes'. I did a few other things as well, but now I just want to finish it. at the moment it's undercoated in black and I hope to post some recent work pics in a couple of days. You've got some good work going on with this one Rob. Over the years I've often thought about crossing over into the armor and ship categories just because there's so much cool stuff out there to build. The problem with doing that is that I already know myself all too well......I'd then be stocking up on armor and ship kits to add to my already overstocked stash of aircraft and autos that I have.

Looks good! Now it just needs a proper paint job and the rigging. I always have like those large box scale Revell sub kits. They just need a little extra work like you’ve done here to make them have that wow factor.

Yeah I get that. I've now got some autos creeping into the stash and I'm even considering a truck build and I so want to do a model railroad and, and, and ........... But remember, 'He who dies with the most kits wins!'
