Hi Lyle,
I don't use a food dehydrator but something very similar, an electric dish dryer. Not very common in the US, but insanely popular in Asia in the model/figure making hobbies. I use it mostly for drying Tamiya enamels (detail painting) and whenever I use acrylics. Though I do use it for peace of mind with lacquers as well. Depending on the paint and how many pieces I'm drying I set the timer between 10 - 30 minutes. Everything comes out dry as a bone. I've become a big fan of drying parts, really speeds up the workflow when doing multiple sprays in a session.

I think adrian29341 may have just picked up a dehydrator?

I just picked one up that you can see in my current build threads (2) and if you want the exact info on the one I have I can provide you with that no problem.

I use one and can't model without it now. I got mine on Amazon for about $100. It doesn't really matter the brand so much as it matters the shape and size. Square units are more useful as round ones have a central column that kills the space. Mine has several trays and I can fit in a 1/32 Kingfisher complete inside, so it has enough space for most of what we build.

The sonora Desert climate here works well enough for drying paint... at least m out of the year.
