Hello fellow members of Modeler’s Social Club. Welcome to my little corner here on the forum! The majority of you don’t know much about me yet, so I thought I’d share some info, and also explain what my upcoming “BattleScale Collectica” Webcast is all about.
I walked away from the craft many years ago- partly because my lack of skills in the painting and finishing department frustrated me, and also due to work and family life etc. During COVID I started getting back into it again. Thankfully I’ve learned a little patience in my old age, and also discovered what an airbrush can do.
I’m also an independent media producer, and have produced and/or directed various national conferences, trade shows, live televised events, TV ads and interactive media projects for various national associations, advertising agencies, corporations and other media production companies.
This little Webcast is my personal project, and is dedicated to custom figures and scale models. Some of the kits are things I’ve personally worked on, but the majority of the show explores works created by other fans and talented builders & designers. In addition to these custom parts and kits, the show will also feature guests to discuss various techniques and tools needed to produce nice models. The intent is to offer a little of something of interest across the modeler builder spectrum, and BSC be covering all sorts of genres. The MODS and I are also discussing hosting some special webinars as well, so look for more info on that later.
The show will have a “Viewer Showcase” segment, where we feature models submitted by the viewers. Since the show does not officially launch until mid-May (and there are no viewers yet), I could use some help here. I’ll be reaching out directly to members to see if there is interest in sharing some of the great builds you guys have posted here in the forum. I’ll also consider submissions to feature as well.
I’ll be posting links to each episode once the show has launched.
