I have a feeling many fellow forum members are facing the same gauntlet I am now that temperatures are decent, trees are budding and the snow (what little there was) is gone. I'm already sweating where bench time will come in with my list of "to do's". The short list includes, dropping 3 collector cars from jacks, servicing them and "waking them up along with my motorcycle and boat. An underground sprinkler pump to install prime and make sure the system is working right. 3 trees to cut down and another 6 to trim up. A zero turn mower to service and 2 and 1/2 acres of puppy destroyed lawn to help live. A garden to till and plant, and that's just the things I thought of right now. So while our spouses don't read our posts here we can all whine a bit about the "honey do" lists the spring time will eventually bring as well as our own blah blah.. So let's hear what everyone's spring list of "have to do's" Happy spring Everyone!!

Yes spring is in the air, I'm lucky on the honey do list....my wife and I think alike sorta so we just get done what needs to be done. I do have to prepare hangers both indoors and out for plants, roll up shade, kayak hanger in garage, make room for bike....mow lawn pick up after super pooper, fix paint trim from move in boo boo...the list never ends. Joys of home ownership...wouldn't tradevit for the world. More bitching later

Already did my first mow. 🤦🏻♂️ had some trees that needed trimming. Gutters cleaned again, downed limbs picked up. I save time by not properly maintaining my mower because I hate it and everything it stands for. Some fresh used oil, some air in the tires, blew out the air filters with the compressor and spent a night on the maintainer. She was all set. 🤦🏻♂️🤣. Also helped the wife plant some flowers. And we usually do a garden. No doubt this will cut into bench time. Almost race season too so I’ll be working on the sprint car.

I'm still trying to get it together after ten days in Utah.
Got trees to trim, my brother and sister in laws trees to trim, thatch and seed an acre of lawn. Need to de-winterize the camper and service the ATV fleet. The inner bearings on the front diff on my 2000 Ford Exploder have gone out and you have to remove the axle to replace them which will be a barrel of laughs. Last Tuesday I got to work at my customary 0515, checked fluids on my truck and started it. When I walked around the loader I found my eighty year old boss lying on the concrete in front of his truck unconsious resulting from an RSV infection with a bit of pneumonia on the side so my role at work has changed.
I still have the B-29 on the bench but not much is getting done on it; haven't touched it in a week. Sooner or later things will smooth out I'm sure but not so much right now

It did make for a lively early morning for sure. He'll be OK though, as long as he takes his meds and rests up for awhile which I have confidence he'll do...I may have made some veiled threats about chairs and Gorilla Tape if he don't behave

Glad to hear he’ll be ok.

Outside of mulching the property and power washing the deck,no big jobs. I just enjoy going out more, hiking, sight seeing, using the pool, sitting on deck reading, and vacations. They all cut into modeling time

So here it's beginning to get a bit cold and soggy. Doesn't snow though. I'm just over a mile from the ocean high on a hill, so I have great views. The only downer is that there is nothing between my view and Antarctica except ocean. So when the Southerlys blow it gets damn chilly. Thanks to my setup I can model all year round and of course, having lost my beautiful wife, I don't have the "honey do" lists, but stuff still needs to be done. Weekly firewood gathering trips, winterproofing the garden, daily and weekly jobs, etc. And most important of all, changing over the bed sheets from the cotton ones to the flannel ones. So, pretty boring really.

Spring = work season starts. I'm a couple weeks in, already. We were tickling 50F today, and sweat was drippin'. I'm ready for October already! Have work booked through May, already. Fishing was good a month ago, with an early warm up. Got cold again and the fish left the river and went back to the lake. Good news, it'll get good all over again! No real "to do" lists, outside of the usual stuff...other than digging a 1000' trench to put in an invisible fence for my bench buddy, "Potatoes" We do have a couple fishing trips planned, camping trips "on radar"(no solid plans yet), as well as a few other fun "to do's". My good buddy, USMC V-22 crew chief (and former drummer from one of my bands, 20 yrs ago) and family will be visiting for a long Memorial Day weekend. Will have some shooting fun, kayaking, fishing, etc. Can't wait!

More bitching later Every since my Wife battled Leukemia the treatment left her blood counts forever changed so she tires easily which frustrates her to no end. So I do my best to get the things done that she has been wanting to do or she tries to do them all with me like we used to. You are correct, owning a home is never ending fun! Already did my first mow. 🤦🏻♂️ had some trees that needed trimming. Gutters cleaned again, downed limbs picked up. Yes. No doubt my wife will rejoice when I’m done with racing. Lol. When the driver I help calls it quits then I have no doubt that I will also. No desire to help anyone else

Sounds like everyone has plenty to do to keep them busy and that’s pretty much the same on my end. Gotta pull the 406 out of the truck and swap the 383 back in and get the truck all ready to sell. Never thought I’d let ‘er go but it’s time. Roof is rusting at the top of the windshield and once that starts happening it’s either Band Aid it for a couple of years with repairs that cost in the couple thousand range or go ahead and section in a roof which costs a lot more than that. It’s all good though as I already have my next “victim” lined up . Dads got a 95 model Silverado that he’ll let go of. Aside from that are some home improvements that will be tackled this year and that’s going to make my wife VERY happy and a trip or two to line up for us to get us out for a bit. Bench time is definitely going to be cut into alright.

I have a lot to do especially before hurricane season starts. Trees in the back yard REALLY need to be trimmed. Gutters and roof need to be cleaned up. I also have to treat the yard for weeds and bugs.

Had a pretty darn healthy 454 with a 4 speed. Had a beautiful metallic black/purple paint job. But it was an older restoration. Super clean and in great shape but the roof started bubbling right there by the windshield so I let it go too.

Mowed my lawn twice already and it looks like it needs to be mowed again already! I only can cuss right now with things going on at my work that leaves me not much free times. It will be like that for couple more months until I am comfortable as new executive director for the agency since my boss is retiring next month. So much to learn... no free times to check MSC during my breaks but things will be better soon!

Mowed my lawn twice already and it looks like it needs to be mowed again already! I still have the plow on my tractor! I try my best to hold out on mowing until May(rarely get there)...once the 1st cut is done, it's an every 4-5 day chore. There's a few patches out there, as well as some wild-flower/weeds that are ready to go...but I aint!!! Skipping work tomorrow, due to rain(my job is inside, but all the finish trim cutting is outside). If I can pull myself away from the bench, I may hit the garage and put the plow away and re-blade the mower deck..........maybe!

I can believe you still have your plow on, I think most of the snow this winter went south of us and nailed you instead. Most of the winter we had bare grass and could wear tennis shoes outside no problem. I used our snowblower once all winter and that was a couple weeks ago. I have been just waiting for temperatures to climb enough to get busy outside with dealing with gardens and yard

We've had a cool winter here in South Florida. By cool I mean overnights in the 50's. Just now temps are starting to rise. Just had to get my garage door spring replaced. One of those torsion springs. Definitely not DIY. All the snowbirds are leaving. Will start to quiet down around here

It's now 15 degrees here in Germany. Last Monday 30 degrees. Up, down. It rained here all winter. I already mowed at the beginning of March when it was dry. I still have a date with 16 tons of soil, which still needs to be spread over a few areas on the property. Just me and my wheelbarrow. My wife is already pushing, but it's far too wet. The garden shed needs a new seal on the roof. The second shed is to get an extension. There's so much to do............so go to the bench and take the next kit

Springtime here is when the outdoor projects start winding down as the temperature increases… today is supposed to get up to 93, about 6* warmer than the average for this time of year. But the temps yo yo right now, with some cooler days and some warmer days… in another 4-6 weeks it will plenty hot and no fun for outdoor projects anytime after mid morning… 🥵
