Started the chassis a while ago. Today I started the engine modifications. Deep pan for a start. The set up will be Hilborn injection.

Fitted the engine to see how it will clear with the firewall mods.Final chassis mods were eliminating the disc brakes on the front axle and removing the stock gas tank The interior is close to finished. On the dash I eliminated the heater, radio and factory gauge. Made of a Hurst 3 speed shifter we used on 4 speeds in the day with a separate reverse lever. That eliminated blowing into reverse when slamming power shifts. Cleaned the interior panels up and shot them with aluminum. Oh and back dated the collectors to the 1965 style, the kit headers are Nostalgia Gasser style from today.

Some good work going into this one already with the radio & heater delete along with getting rid of the front disc brakes. Interesting article about making funny cars from a kit too.

The front clip chop looks awesome! With the gasser stance and hood flipped forward this is going to look excellent!

Got the main half painted and some of the decals on .One front wheel mostly done. Spindle mount, magnesium. Still need to clean the power residue off the tire.  Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki |
