I started this one last June. It was part of the "SUMMER OF PAINTING" learning experience. Got the body painted and put it all back in the box. Until recently. Here's where it stands now. I didn't want to go straight with the box art. To my eyes, it's a little tacky. Just not digging it for some reason. Instead, I went with Tamiya TS-98 pure orange. My plan it to use some of the kit decals, but leave a few off. That was as far as I got before it was put away. Now that I'm back in business with my airbrush, I wanted something simple to start with. I dug the frame parts out and shot them with Testors square bottle enamel red. Always had good luck with shooting them back in the day. Still a LONG way to go yet...

This is gonna be fun to watch Jeremy. Paint job looks great so far as does the progress on the frame.

This kit is like the "Sidewinder" one that I built. It is another case of Atlantis bought the molds but not the copywrites to the original names. They get around it by slightly renaming it and getting the Tom Daniels Company to endorse it and they can put his name on it. They supposedly have a bunch more from his catalogue that they will be releasing. Most of them will be the lower sellers from the past since as we saw with the Rommel's Rod release a couple of years ago some of the more popular one are still under the Monogram brand. I will take the Atlantis versions any day since at least they produce them! Original Troublemaker kit. Son of is from the molds and all that is changed is the name.

I like the older look of this one better than the version I'm building. Looks more 70's to me. That's more of the vibe I'm hoping for.
