Well this sucks

Wifey had a mishap today. Rear ended another vehicle in bumper to bumper traffic. No one hurt, but she was pissed off at herself

Its still drivable. I drove it home and its sitting in my driveway.  No mechanical issues at all. Looks mostly bodywork. Hoping insurance doesn't total it. Its a 2008 but only has 66k on it

      If the airbags didn't deploy there is a chance they won't total it.

Airbags didn't deploy in either vehicle

Looks like his trailer hitch kept the upper parts back enough to save the rad. The hood buckled exactly where and how it was designed to.

Happy to hear there were no injuries. Our neighbor recently backed into our civic with his hummer... Everything can be fixed!

Glad that everyone is okay. My wife rear-ended someone at a light a few years ago. Actually pushed someone into a third vehicle. That one drove away after all the paperwork. The one she hit, that driver declined all medical treatment and such. A few months later we got documents for a court date that we were being sued. The b***h decided after all that she was hurt. I think she only was able to get $7,500 out of our insurance, but still.

Probably won't total it if nothing but body parts damaged but insurance companies are weird. As you say bent vehicles and no one broken is the best part of a bad incident

Oof..that's a suckfest!

Daughter got t-boned a few years back, in mommas truck. (all okay...I do miss that truck though!)
Dude plowed through a stop sign...totaled his car, our truck(busted rear axle and shot the leaf spring up through the bed) and another car that was behind our daughter.
Insurance did take good care of us though.

Well they totalled it. Wife went in a different direction for her next vehicle. Decided on a SUV. Got a great deal on this. 2020 QX60 only 32k miles

Glad things worked out without any injuries. It takes practically nothing for a vehicle to be totaled nowadays

Congrats on the QX, TJ! 👍  That looks like new!   It should be a great automobile too. 😃  My wife, Jackie, bought her QX50 in December 2017 and it's been a great car.  It has the 3.7 Nissan VQ series V6, with 325 horsepower, rear-wheel drive and 8-speed automatic.   Cruising at 80-85 on the interstate and still reeling off 28 mpg or more, with that kinda power is a true delight.  We leased it for three years and then elected to buy it from Infiniti at the end of the lease.   I resisted buying one for several years because I thought they were sort of homely...well, I've eaten my share of that crow now as I do love to drive that car! 🤩

I suspect that you will get a lot of fun and satisfaction from owning that one too.  It's sure a nice one, brother!  Enjoy and keep the shiny side up!  😁
