This one is another scheme derived from World of Warships Legends. It is my own variation to their "black" series boats. I have since dulled down the liferafts to a more realistic tone, but like usual, I have not taken any update shots since these ones were taken. I've always thought the Alaska was a sleek and aggressive looking ship and when I saw the Black ship on World of Warships, I knew what I was going to do. I swapped out the white highlights for red and used Nato Black and Flat black for the rest.
I wanted the camo to look used and crappy - but in reality, it was all an illusion - suckering destroyers into thinking she's almost dead in the water, drawing them in closer then letting rip all 12x14" goodness that were those awesome main batteries

I could sit and look at a build like this one for a very long time and see something different every time I glance over it. The weathered effects are perfect on this and there's enough detailing to make one dizzy!! Great work on your spin of this ship Simon!!

Sort of reminiscent of the WWII USN Measure 11 scheme... but man can I see some ranking officers getting upset at such a rust bucket appearance... not ship shape at all...

Thanks, guys, for the kind feedback Its because of WOWSL that I have developed this insane fixation for WW2 battleships, cruisers and to a lesser extent, destroyers. I have racked up over 15k games over a 5 year span, which pales in comparison to some people TBH. I have an Exeter going in my bench which isn't too far from being finished. Then its the Haruna to be done in an Azure Lane or Arpeggio of Blue Steel scheme. I have a Trumpeter H Class to do after that, whuch is why I was stoked to see Mongooes's build up of it as its the first one I've seen actually built and not a review.
