Industrial Mechanika Dragonfly - nude!

This was my attempt at the now defunct line of resin kits from Industrial Mechankia. I'm so glad I got this when I did as they sadly stopped selling and making these kits. I would like to have gotten the Deathss Head moth but it was never available when I was looking. Instead, I chose the Dragonfly and I'm glad I did as it was a very enjoyable build

I decided to paint mine in its bare materials (so nude). This won me the WhatIf SciFi group build win a number of years ago

The base is scratch built and had working lighting

Oh how I miss IMech. I've managed to find a lot of the kits I wanted, but some are gone forever (The Bishop!).

This is outstanding. It's not "bug-ish" painted nude, but I like it anyway!

Yeah, I miss them too. They just do 3d files now which is useless for those of us who don't have a 3d printer.
I had grand ideas for the Deaths Head but I just couldn't get my hands in it.

I always wanted one of these, just never could line things up. Funny story, when they sold the Briegel in like 2016, I used my car payment to get one😅

Oh, likely so. I've used this same avatar everywhere forever. Used to be on Keeper of the Force daily as well!

I know one of these days I'll have to break down and get a 3d printer. The easier they get to use, the more likely I am to do it.

That is sooo cool. I would have loved to have a kit of this one. I just watched "Mortal Engines" on Netflix, and this dragonfly would have fit in perfectly.

I quite liked Mortal Engines, even though it got panned heavily by the critics. The concept of huge mobile cities is pretty gnarly.
