Good day my friends. Who makes the latest and greatest F1 racer? Newest year model vehicle and newest kit release? Thank you in advance for your help.

Despite the massive growth in F1 popularity our Japanese friends in the kit making business have sadly left us out to dry. For plastic kits I believe that Tamiya’s 2017 Ferrari SF70 remains the newest. Expensive and somewhat difficult to find at times. Newer than that you’ll have to turn to the resin market. Small run kit manufacturer Alpha Model has been doing some of the most recent cars from Red Bull and Ferrari. Also expensive but they’re the only game in town to for the new ground effect cars.

I hope Salvinos follows up their new indy car with a new F1. They seem to be making a lot of 'currentish' race cars.

That’s exactly what I needed to know! I really appreciate it. That resin Oracle car sure does look cool.

The Alpha Models looks really nicely made. I found out about them too late and missed the RB16. Really want that kit!
