Now this'll be fun to watch come together. That's definitely a Round 2 thing with the scale model boxing. lol

Wow, flashback! I remember my dad got one of these for us kids. Eventually I used it to get to work and rode it into the ground until the engine blew. I looked like Baby Huey puttin down the highway at max speed, 35-40mph, if I remember correctly. It served it's purpose, but wow, this brings back memories, lol.
Ruck On, standing by to stand by.

I am not a bike guy. In fact my interest in them is in the negatives. BUT this looks like such a cool kit and build that I will be watching eagerly!

Since I don't know MPC, are they both the same kit, just in a shrink-wrapped box?

The Monkey is a completely different bike - my friend and a Z50 Honda-Matic when I was a kid.
The Honda Trail bikes came in a few different shapes displacements over they years.

This will be cool to watch. It used to make me sick seeing many of these set up on carnival rides. I had a friend that had one of these back in the 70’s. He was able to go so many places my 125 couldn’t( think low hanging branch, ouch!)

Since I don't know MPC, are they both the same kit, just in a shrink-wrapped box? There is only one kit. For a while in the '70s MPC included a small version of the box in the kit. They came flat and you could build them up to display with the model.

They've been doing it again. This kit came with the small box (see first post). And this Duster I did a while back came with the little box as well. Looks great on the shelf!

That’s a sweet Duster. I’ve gotten a couple kits with the small boxes as well. Cool little display pieces for sure.

Well I was looking at my engine and while the metal colors look great the assembly/alignment just doesn't pass muster. In to the purple pool and disassembly - just the engine. Pretty happy with the wheels and how the frame is moving. I just couldn't let some stuff go.

Bummer. But sometimes that's the way it goes. Sure it'll look great the next time.
