24cm K4 Portable Gun based on Tigers I

So I'll show you the pictures of my biggest build here too!

The build began in february 2011. the gun itself is a German paper project of WW2. It has never been built. The two Tiger one probably were constructed, but thats not for sure. They had been weight reduced by using thinner armor plates. I just want you to know that it is MY interpretation of the one drawing I have. I try/tried to build everything under a technical angle of view...

Right now the whole thing is paused due to other projects. Just a creative pause

I won't describe every picture now, but when the build goes on I'll make as many SBS and pictures as you want.










(handmade out of steel, barrel is aluminum)




























I placed 11 lights

By now the rough build of the Lafette is finished, it's all about the details and little gems here and there.

I scratched the interior of one of the Tiger I (not finished yet)

Impressive scratch building Jan and just the thing for MSC.

Even in this scale it looks as though it would never have moved far on rough roads and what a target for fighter-bombers... the designers really seem to have lost the plot!!

Thanks for the kind words Guys! I'll pick up work in a few days again. Maybe I'll finish the main build until KMK Show at Mol/Belgium...

@stevem: I think you're right! I'm also not quite sure about the weight the tigers would have been capable to move... even if they were weight-reduced. But this isn't the point of the build

alexander: no it's not a master. I'm building masters right now, but they're not that big...
