Thanks guys. I'm enjoying the Olympics but somehow artistic gymnastics or whatever it's called doesn't do much for me. So I put the front end together. It actually worked, although it won't be steerable. I don't drive them around, so I'm not worried.
The tank is Tamiya metallic silver, the rest are Alclad whatevers, MIG Ammo wash on the rad. I tested the rims, they do fit over the rotors.
Never noticed 'til I looked at the pic, i have a hose to fix, lol.
I used rubber brake lines instead of the spring things Tamiya supplies.
I guess next step is fix the engine.
cheers
Paul

paul, As usual your fabrications are all little gems that actually look better then what came in the kit. I've been a charter member of your official fan club for years, and I've never missed an event/update as yet. Don't plan on missing any other then a hospital visit here and there. And Joseph seems to now be in charge of the cheerleader squad. Can't get any better then that. joel Joel, you've been a good friend, and I do appreciate it.

Paul,
Same here.
And best of all nearly all of my online friends from the old site are here. Can't get any better then that.

Excellent. That’s a great update. Looking like a race car now. Some wonderful detail included as well. I’ve been having the Olympics on as background to my building. Luckily no artistic gymnastics yet. Lol

Nice update Paul. I've been using the Olympics as my background noise also. With all of the hype and commercials, that's about all it's good for.

Talk about commercials. Have you checked out an Indy Car race since NBC/Peacock got the contract. It's 8+ commercials every 7 min or so. It got so bad that I record the race, and then fast forward through the commercials. The split screen is a joke as it's like 1/3 screen and other then the in cockpit camera the picture is so small, you have no idea of what's on the screen. Now F1 has NO commercials and it's not behind a Paywall. But out my age, you gotta plan out your bathroom breaks well in advance.

Peacock/NBC is absolutely horrible. The coverage and commercials are a joke. I only hope Fox is an improvement. I cannot imagine they can be any worse.

Paul, Just an outstanding job detailing that Matra V12 with all those spark plug wires and fuel lines. She's really coming together quite nicely now.

Man that looks great. Starting to think 1/12 scale is the right scale for these kits. Those stacks look so good.

Lots of broken bits on this job. This tool is a lifesaver, it adjusts to anything you want and holds pieces in place 'til the glue or usually CA sets up.
Lots of this going on
Slow progress at the moment.

Paul, Great progress for sure, especially dealing with and fixing the never ending broken or missing parts.
Interesting use for that clamp. I've got several of them, and just might borrow your method of a weight to hold drying parts in place.

I'm going to have to pick one of those clamps up. Never knew they existed but I can definitely see one of these in my future. Hang with 'er Paul.

Thanks. I'm beginning to wish this thing had stayed in the parts bin.
The trans mount / exhaust carrier not only was broken, half of it was missing. So I came up with this from some scrap styrene.
It'll be half buried so it might look OK in the end.
