Thanks. I'm beginning to wish this thing had stayed in the parts bin.
The trans mount / exhaust carrier not only was broken, half of it was missing. So I came up with this from some scrap styrene.
It'll be half buried so it might look OK in the end. Now THAT'S what I'M talkin' about right there!!! Way to overcome the obstacle Paul.

Paul, Once again you've out done yourself on the fabrication needed to repair that exhaust bracket.

Great job on the repairs. I have a diecast lotus that was given to me in a few pieces. getting them back together with letting everyone who sees know it was broken can be super tough. You are doing great!

Since I have no clue which Matra version ran at what race, and I'm pretty sure the kit doesn't build any of them, I've been winging it from the start. It was an outrageous car so I might as well build the most outrageous version I can come up with. The kit is the 4 exhaust version, I'm converting it to six pipes. Pretty simple really, the header pipes are the same, I just cast some resin 2 into 1 collectors and slightly jiggled the positions. They are built as a pair, test fitted, painted and installed, then do the next pair.
Ready to begin
Now for the other side.

Paul, Don't sell yourself short. Those scratched built exhausts look great, and I'm sure that a higher skill level then I have would certainly be needed to even come close to yours.

Looking great! Do you plan on paint the bolt heads? Looking at those rear arms, it would really pop with all that blue paint. Not that you need any more detail. This thing is looking amazing enough as it sits.

Man this is just one insane build. What I like most about it is the ingenuity / creativeness that you are putting into this. Just unbelievable detailing and planning going on throughout the whole process. You've definitely got my attention Paul.

It's frustrating fixing an old kit but it's satisfying in a odd way.
The sway bar is from the parts bin, modified to fit.
Now the real fun begins.

Frustrating perhaps, but you do it as well or better than just about anyone I’ve ever seen. I always enjoy your resurrections.

Paul, the rear end suspension looks fantastic. Nothing looks out of place but rather the actual molded parts. Out of the ashes of a glue bomb, comes another outstanding build.

Indoors a lot due to the ragweed levels. But I got something done. What kit parts I had, plus lots from the parts bin and some aftermarket goodies.
Still a bit to go, but I'm getting there.

Paul, Looking good for sure. I can't believe just how many lines you have running all over the rear. Must have taken you days and days to accomplish that.
I feel your pain with being stuck in due to high Ragweed levels. Here on Long Island we've had day after day of Allergy alerts with no end in sight.

I have the wing, but none of the struts. More scratch and fix.
I built my own throttle linkage.
Just needs pipes and a wing.

What a ride this has been. It looks awesome. Your scratch building and just making stuff work are really paying off. I can’t wait to see it buttoned up.

Paul, Looking mighty good. Are you planning on making those struts from scratch, or just substitute, add, and reshape from your parts box?
