Dude......THAT.......is some clean work on that car body with the paint, shine and the BMF. Blown...... away....... Thank you Joe. Luckily, painting is one thing that I didn’t lose in my hiatus. Now, if I could just get back some of my dexterity 😁 I could use some of that myself. lol

A little mock up That’s looking great so far Rich! Are you going to have front wheel / tire position issues relative to wheel opening on this one or did everything line up ok?

A little mock up That’s looking great so far Rich! Are you going to have front wheel / tire position issues relative to wheel opening on this one or did everything line up ok? Everything looks like it will line up well on this one. One thing that is an issue is air cleaner height, I had to shave carb down for hood to fit. The body/ chassis is a tight squeeze though. I will end up refoiling the wheel wells( I used the Ultra bright chrome, won’t do that again). I’ m not going all out with lines and stuff on this one. I am going to wire distributor and make A.I.R. Pipes since nobody makes them. Thanks Joe.

Started making A.I.R. tubes from solder and stainless wire. Good work and good additional details under the hood Rich. Sorry to hear the clearance blues with the carburetor to hood clearance but know about this all too well from the mods that I've pulled off in the past. I've got no doubts that you will pull this off quite well.

This is looking really sharp. Nice paint and foil (people who can use BMF must be into voodoo or something). :^)

I'm very jealous of your dad for having this car in real life. It doesn't get much better than this.

I'm very jealous of your dad for having this car in real life. It doesn't get much better than this. He did have some cars! He had a 61 Chrysler 300 convertible( black), traded that in for a new 67 GTX convertible (440, blue/ black top, only because dealer couldn’t get Hemi), he was signing papers for one of the 50 65 Hemi Coronets (A990)until he found out it could not be put on street. I remember going into Plymouth dealer and falling in love with a B5 Superbird in showroom( he was there to buy a Hemi Cuda, he wanted it delivered without any fluids to store car, as he saw end of supercars coming). He could only do that if he went to Detroit to pick car up( we lived in New Jersey). He also had a 62 Chevy with L88 installed. After that he got in to having the fastest bikes( Z1 Kawasaki, XS11, V65 Magna, Turbo Seca( with added nitrous) Honda CBR 1100. It all sounds cool, but he was a very self serving person( I will leave it there).

While engine parts are drying, I decided to start on modifying the tail lights to match ‘68. From this: To this: I used 2 pieces of .010 x .020 strip glued together for separating bar.

This is some really nice work. That is a great looking powerplant and I love the tail lights. Thank you Kyle. Some more updates installed exhaust, drilled out tailpipes, foiled resonators and muffler with matte aluminum BMF, pipes are Model Master steel. I reconfigured to staggered shocks as a 68 would have.
