Literally a 8 hour build. Nice fitting kit - fun, and outside of my norm.

I've built a few 1/144 kits out of my built spectrum at the request of our son-in-law. I found them a nice reset for what I had been working on previous. This turned out terrific! I've seen pe sets for these but I would be hard pressed to squint my eyes that much to ever use one at this scale

8 hours?!?!? Impressive!!!! Thagt's something I really need to try and deal with struggling mojo. I have built a couple of this scale subs as sort of a palette cleanser. Limited parts, two or three basic colours and easy weathering due to scale all come together to make these a great slump breaker or stress reliever between more intense builds.

Thanks all. I picked this up on sale dirt cheap and its been in the stash for a few years. Then I saw Tonys (Tojo) post on finding the USS Harder and thought time for a sub!

Love me a good "quickie"! Feels great to get something banged out without taking weeks or months. I just did something similar with a sub myself!

I've told Carlos this and now I'm gonna say this in response to this build of yours John......
There aint no WAY I could finish something like this in 8 hours. A great job of painting and weathering along with picking out the details. Cool subject too.

Thanks Joe. Somewhere around 20 pieces the kit and simple paint job = quick build

This one has even less parts and I bought it on a Sprue Brothers lightening deal for $1.99. I think it has 9 parts if you don't count the stand 😂
