Thank you, Tony. I appreciate that. The problem all along wasn't the fit of the parts, I just could not get the "exter thain" cement to hold for anything. Anyway, finally got them to stay put, dabbed a bit of thin CA at the join points. Doing the Collective and cyclic magic wands, now, The cyclic pieces are pretty thin.

I built my version of it a long time ago but don't remember having any issues with extra thin. They could have changed the plastic in the 13 or so years between releases though. I always struggle when kit plastic won't play nice with the cement so I feel your pain.

drybrushed (maybe not dry enough) some flat aluminum on / around the deck. Then washed it with Tamiya Dark Brown panel line highlighter and brushed that out and around. Okay, I guess. Just not real sure what to do with it. That looks PERFECT in the pic. Worn and sort of grubby but not dirty in a subtle sort of way.

Brent, thanks. Once the seat pieces decided to play nice together, it was good. I don’t know what the problem was.

Beautiful work Lyle! I have the Revell boxing of this one in the stash. Put it on pause a while ago because Quinta didn't yet have a cockpit set for it.

Beautiful work Lyle! I have the Revell boxing of this one in the stash. Put it on pause a while ago because Quinta didn't yet have a cockpit set for it. I've done that one in 1/32. Over on SPAM, for a while we were getting sample kits from Hobbyzone or someone like that. Memory fades. Stopped when the went under. We would get about as many single kits as we asked for. Anyway, I've seen some amazing cockpits done without Quinta sets, but wow, they sure do make it easier. I think I'm hooked which scares me due to their price!

My hands hurt - have for the last couple of days. Arthur is acting up. Anyway, got the broken control arm reattached...twice. And another control arm that simply butts against a >1mm surface attached. What are these knuckleheads thinking? Only 16 parts to this......Oy.

Qunita 3D printed sets are truly life savers for everybody! It has made your Huey's cockpit look so good and nothing can beat it at this moment. Sorry I am late to the party but at least I brought more beer for everybody!

Thats a good representation of the scissors & sleeve assy, swash plate and collective push/ pull tube Lyle. I remember all of this stuff like it was just yesterday. The good work continues…..
