hey all I just finished this one off and thought I'd share it. Its Version 2 of an R35 LB Walk. Painted in SMS "Void", it changes colour from blue, to purple and supposedly black - although I can't see the black myself. In the sunlight, this looks unreal and has become my new favourite colour but its cloudy and I just can't get it to look the way it should. I also had broken off one of the rear wing side things before I shot it and found it afterwards. I have since reattached it but I'm not going to try take better photos today as its pointless without the sun. I'll try again this weekend if I find the time

Maaaaaan...this paint looks fantastic (is it sprayed over a gloss black base?), and that collection is outstanding!

thanks mate  Yeah, it is sprayed over gloss black. I actually nailed the gloss black (first time ever!!) and almost left it in that, but alas, i was dying to try out this new paint. I tried running it through my Proconboy .5 but it just wouldn't flow right. So, I chucked it into my Iwata and it sprayed nicely - as it should. It's also SMS 2k which I polished on the roof and bonnet. |

Saw this one on the way out from home to work and have got to say that not only do I like the subject matter but also the color you used as well as the finish you achieved on this car. One can tell you spent a LOT of time in painting as well as getting that thing to shine like that. You gave this one the ol' one-two buddy.  |

Pretty sure I will always struggle with normal gloss paint so forget about something like this. Must admit I am a tad jealous when I see something that comes out as nice as this.

thanks guys I used to think the same thing about getting that mirror finish (unachievable), but I watched a few YouTube videos and gave it a go. If I can do it, you definitely can! I don't always get it right either, but it's been a learning curve that I'm glad I took. |

I don't always get it right either, but it's been a learning curve that I'm glad I took. My first gloss attempt was a shocking success. I didn't even have to wet sand or polish it. After that it would take me 3 years before I was able to pull off any kind of a high gloss shine after several failed attempts and LOTS of paint stripping sessions. lol |

Great looking build. That looks like a solid track monster and as others have said that's a fantastic finish in a pretty amazing color.
