I've had this in my stash for awhile and finally decided to build it. It's a kit I recommend not trying unless you are near pro level. It's not that it's a hard build, but because there are a lot of pieces and the directions are not that great. There were parts covering my entire kitchen table. I was lucky that Revell of Germany has full color instruction sheets for their kits; so the coloring is correct. However, you will be turning back and forth in the instruction sheet trying to figure out what to do as it has a couple versions to make and you have to skip ahead and back in building the kit. It will also tell you to drill holes in certain places and it just gets crazy. Spoiler alert Germans; not everyone has a small drill! Why couldn't you, I don't know, just pre-drill the holes in the kit at the factory? Yeah, I get that there's a LH and RH drive versions, but you could have at least done it for the roof and mirrors or something. It's not a fun build, and I probably will never tackle this kit again. Well, alrighty......hard to follow directions, lots of fiddly bits. I think I'll get two! You nailed this one. She looks awfully nice and ready to go.

Turned out great! I did this it a couple years ago and there's a crazy amount of options for seating, lh/rh drive, mirror locations etc. I agree it's a lot, but I went through the instructions and crossed out what I wasn't doing and it helped. The kit itself was a joy to build - everything fit and it was nicely molded. Looks good in blue.

Dang it Eric!! This turned out to be quite the build. My hat goes off to you for getting through the difficult instructions.

Got the part numbers mixed up and painted the RHD part instead of the LHD.

Outstanding Eric!! Despite any issues you may have had with the kit, you've sure come away with a top notch result. It really looks awesome. And I love the color choice. Looks great on the old Land Rover.

Thanks for all the good comments. It's a very challenging kit. I do recommend picking up a German kit at some point. They are better manufactured and come with full color instruction manuals that make painting a breeze.
I just thought of another critique as well. The viewing windows on top are glued straight to the roof. There are no cut outs for the windows. It's a head scratcher why they didn't do it. It looks stupid to look through the clear plastic and see roof.
