Grumman Albatross - Hemisphere Dancer conversion

Here is one for you Jimmy Buffett fans.   An old Monogram Albatross kit.  Had to sand ALL the rivets off the model before assembling.   I used the actual aircraft as reference since it’s located at City Walk - Universal Studios in Orlando.  Tamiya paints and decals printed by a good friend who has an ALPS printer.  





Smooth..no gaudy rivets

While enjoying a beer under the real Albatross, I noticed the cowl flaps.  So I added the cowl flaps to the build.

The decals you had made for this are wonderful! Really looks like the aircraft you were mimicking. Great job on this!
