New AK Real Colors have arrived!

Well, they have finally arrived in the warehouse, the new 17ml squeeze bottles of AK Real Color Lacquers. They have a different screw top for the bottles to easily tell them apart from the acrylics.





They are also coming out with sets, like the 3rd Gen Acrylics



So far several shops have ordered their initial stock of the paints from us, so keep your eyes peeled at your favorite LHS.

Interesting. I liked the Tamiya style jars they had and I like the paint. Whatever they want to do though. I’ll likely buy some.

Kyle, I’m with you on preferring the glass 10ml jars. They are much easier to mix the paint in. But… these squeeze dropper type bottles do seem to lessen the frequency of paints drying out due to carrier evaporation and such. We shall see what happens.

I have SO many kits like that in Vallejo it scary. I would love to see how these go down, but more important, How durable are they after drying?

AK Real Colors are extremely durable once dried and cured. Super hardy.

Well… AK has now moved to all one size bottles for their paints… 3rd Gen Acrylics and Real Colors are now both in the same size bottles. Only the lids differentiate between the types.

I guess as I use up the colors I have I'll be restocking with these new bottles

I may have to start checking into alternatives like this. I'd been using MM for YEARS and that well dried up. I do have to admit that MM won the ticket during my time in using them due to the low odor emitted by them.

Well...I got turned onto these by accident as my localish Hobbytown was basically cleared out of Mr. Color stuff one day when I needed some military stuff but they had a full rack of the Real Colors. So I just grabbed a couple to try them out. I've been really happy with all the ones I've tried so far.

I’ll let you know once I have used them. Hopefully in the next week or so I’ll get some bench time in…
