Hey gang, this is a Revell kit that my wife found at a yard sale for $0.40. She bought it as part of a lot of 5 kits that she paid a total of $2.00 for. It was started and mostly complete, but there were a few small things missing or broken. I decided to try to salvage it and use it as an opportunity to hone some modeling, painting, and weathering skills. I think it worked out OK. It's painted with AK Real Colors lacquers and MM and Testors enamels. Weathered with water color pencils, washes, and oils. Decals are from the spares drawer, but the heart nose art was cut from a hand-drawn stencil. The gear door retraction struts, radio mast, bazooka tubes, bombs, and fuel tank are from the spares box. The blast tubes are from Tamiya's Jug. The pitot is scratch built, and the tail wheel is my first ever attempt at casting a resin replacement part. And here it is with the same boxing I built up as Little Chief a few years back. So, this one's done! I'm ready for the next challenge(s). If you followed the WIP, thanks for sticking with me. As usual, comments, questions, and criticisms are welcome. Feel free to drop you two cents into the bucket on your way out. Thanks for lookin'! -O

I'd be hard pressed to guess that this was a box of pieces at a yard sale with the wonderful job you did on assembling and painting this. I really like the worn weathered look you achieved

Thanks for the pats on the back, gang. I really appreciate the feedback and your input. I'm going to be jumping into two, yep, two long term projects. As it turns out, both will be pairs, so I'll be crankin' on four kits at once.
Thanks again! -O

Wow! I guess Halloween is the perfect time to resurrect an old buried build. Thanks for the additional pats on the back. Much appreciated! I'm glad y'all have enjoyed my work. Cheers! -O (I need to be more active on the boards...)
