I have been working on this at the same time as my Hobbycraft P-35A, and so far I've been doing some detail painting and minor assembly. Got to make that black leather a little more interesting, some oils and a semigloss coat I guess. Never mind that tire trying to escape the rim, they just snap on. The wire wheels were painted Alclad and the tires were done with Tamiya Lacquer LP65 Rubber, my go to for tires. It seems to have worked well with the rubber tires.

Wow John! Off to a great start with this one. Nice to see it doesn't have the clear disc wheels. I really like how those wires look and the engine. Really looking forward to seeing this one come together.

More work on the Talbot Lago. The model builds up with sub assemblies and for the most part things fit pretty well, but the instructions must have been subcontracted to Hobbycraft, they aren't much help. Add to that the parts in many cases do not have obvious location points and what you have is a kit that could be fun but is instead frustrating. The worst fit is the instrument panel. I tried to fit it to one side, but there is no way to get it balanced properly. I have left it out until the body is all together and then I will will put some Aves Epoxysculpt in where it should fit and press it in to that. Working the body seams will be a chore because the whole car has to be assembled before that is possible. I pre-painted the body shells before closing it all up and that will help some but I am not looking forward to the work of getting a nice gloss finish. I have no idea what is supposed to support the radiator, it only seems to attach to the hoses.

I've been curious about assembly and painting sequence with this kit since I first cracked it open.

Boy oh boy, those are about as vague as it gets. Lots of trial and error and guesswork. Nice progress though John!!

John, Great start on what looks like a kit from hell with all those issues. But so far you seem to be dealing with each one and succeeding. As for those instructions I didn't think it was possible to have worse ones then what Fujimi gives you in their 1968-9 Wyer Gulf Ford GT40 kit as they have arrows going in circles and behind parts but never to where one part actually attaches to the next part, but yours are actually worse.
