Continuing with my older builds posts here. This is a Dicker Max that was a German experiment that failed. They only made a few of these and they were all destroyed or failed before getting the battlefield. All were sent to Operation Barbarosa. These I find to be quite cool looking, even if a complete failure.
This one is painted with AK Panzer grey color set and Vallejo pigments. I weathered it up more than would be the case for such a short lived vehicle, but I wanted more eye appeal to it. Modelers prerogative if you will. One thing this kit needs is a Panzer crew. I need to get on that.
Hope you like it. I built this 5-6 years ago.

I agree, very cool looking piece of armor. Doesn't look very safe being so open haha.

The vehicle was not intended for tank hunting, but for fortification breaching, namely the Maginot Line. With the succesful Blitzkrieg in the West it became somewhat obsolete. Of the two prototypes at the start of operation Barbarossa, one caught fire on the march and burnt out, the second was brought into an anti tank and infantry support role where it performed well. After an overhaul at Krupp it was sent back to the front and was organized in an anti tank platoon together with the two Henschel prototypes (Sturer Emil) in Pz.Jg.Abt.(Sfl.) 521. It's trace is lost after the summer offensive in November '42, because it no longer appeared in the records of said Abteilung.

Very good work! I was wondering why it was a failure but Tobi has answered.

I wouldn't deem it an actual failure. It was used in a role it wasn't designed for, and nevertheless one of the Sturer Emil's had 22 kill marks on its gun before it was destroyed.

I love that mild weathering. You've definitely achieved your goals with this build in my opinion. I am certainly a fan of subtlety lol.

Great looking worn interior! I've not seen one of these built before. You crafted a very well done and interesting subject indeed
