Two weeks in the purple pond followed by two weeks in break fluid. Tamiya rattle cans - super durable. Weirdly.... I kinda like the looks of where I ended up đŸ¤”

Man that stuff is brutal!! But I agree that thing does look pretty cool. You could do an old and tired modified…

John,
Same here. the paint really looks well worn but in a very natural way. Like many things in life which are discovered by accident while looking for something else.
Tamiya rattle cans are pure lacquer not their Acrylic lacquer really needs the toughest of the toughest paint remover: Oven Cleaner. Or if they actually make a small hobby sand blaster should do the trick in no time flat

That's weird John. I strip my bodies with brake fluid in one to two days. Did you prime the body?

Great to see you rebounded from the decal mishap. The gray looks great!

91% Isopropyl alcohol works on lacquer also.

John. The Gray color coat really looks great as it adds a lot over all look and feel.
I've never used 91% Iso to strip lacquer paint. Hardest part for me is actually finding a drug store or even Walmart that has it in stock as the shelves are nearly all 70% whenever I've looked for it.
