Every now and then a modeler will come out of nowhere with a genre of build that you never knew they were into. That's what happened when Tim not only took an Fw190 on for the "Butcher Bird Group Build" a few months back but when I saw him build up a sci fi subject here. On other forums I've seen Tim (Deano as he's referred to elsewhere) build his immaculate rigs but I had NO idea that he dabbled in other genres. Featured here this week for the Showcased Build is his "Slave I" that he finished in late March. His attention to detail and weathering that are normally seen on his truck projects are magnified here on this build. Great paint and weathering adorn this build as well as the details. Guys, I was totally floored when Joe messaged me to say he was going to put this up. Not for 1 minute did I think this was anywhere good enough! Never underestimate the power of the encouragement and support you guys give here, its given me the confidence to show builds that I would normally keep to myself. Many thanks to those who stopped in for a look and made suggestions during the build, greatly appreciated!

I have seen this kit built many many times and this is by far the best rendition of it ever! Used and abused just like the "real" thing would be.  |

Dean, this is by far the best I've seen of this model! It is far and away better than any attempt I could do. This is most well deserved to be showcased here.
