So I said to myself - "Self, next time taking photos ensure that the SD card is in the camera" What a dumba$$ I am..........LOL Luckily the non photos were un-eventful. So before I start I have a bone to pick with Airfix. When I purchase and open your product and something is missing, I expect that you stand by your product and not make me jump through rings of fire, dodge hungry sharks, or go into combat. Pull this with me again and I will be done. Long story short: - Parts C47 and C48 missing off the sprue nowhere to be found. (part of the landing bay doors) - Emailed Hornby US and took two days for a non response of we don't stock parts, pound sand! - Stated my displeasure politely and asked again if they are going to facilitate a replacement (I offered to pay) - Another email with a screenshot of the link for Hornby UK. YOU could not email, me the link with a description? - Contacted Hornby UK - I was interrogated worse than getting water boarded by the CIA, NSA and MI5 (never again) - They asked for a code from a sticker on the box that is only present in Europe not the US to their dismay - Email 3 days later stating that if they have it they will send it in about a month and a half. All in all Airfix can kiss off. So any way on with the build. Fit for the front office seems good with no issues. I did however purchase Eduard's Look set for the IPs and harnesses. As everything in the CP is black, I hit it with Mr Surfacer 1500 black and dry brushed with gray to pop out any details. I have the seat back in Khaki now and letting it cure before I get to working on the harnesses. -Bob

Following this one! The office looks great! Too bad about the issues with Airfix. I'm in the middle of one between a vendor and Black Dog. I'm losing the battle by default I think.

I don’t know anything at all about this aircraft but I do know that IP and cockpit is looking great!! I know that the pilot in that box art would be in serious trouble for flying where he is!

This is looking great as mentioned. Cool looking AC. Too bad Airfix is bugger to get parts from.

That pit of yours is looking great so far Bob. LOL about the SD card in the camera as I've done that very thing myself. Sorry to hear about the misfortune with the missing parts and then the "prisoner of war" interrogation that you had to endure to get the parts. I'm sure that was pretty frustrating to say the least. Looking forward to seeing your next update brother.

Hi Everyone. Been busy as hell between work and prepping for Deer Season, opening day is a couple of weeks away and been getting things dialed in. Still in a war with Airfix so still some parts missing. Found more as I was getting into the build. So not really done, but on hold to see if any parts show up. Have her sitting covered up to mitigate any dust and we will see what happens. Until then Im moving on to the next. Thanks again everyone and apologies for being away. -Bob

No need to apologize whatsoever. I can definitely understand the busy real life stuff getting in the way of bench time. Been that sort of year for me too. Anyways, great update and I hope Airfix sends you some parts

Great to see you and this again! Life gets busy for everyone at different times of the year, happens to us all. This bird looks fantastic! Sucks you are in a holding pattern for the missing pieces. If it's any consolation Bob I'm still staring at unanswered e-mails from the vendor and Black Dog on my missing parts also. Hope deer hunting goes well for you this season!

This is looking real sharp. the cockpit details are looking awesome. Sad to hear about the interrogation, luckily it wasn't a rendition, but a mild waterboarding. Good to know, cause word of mouth can trash a company real quick. I'll keep this in mind.

Sorry to hear about your experiences with Airfix. Hopefully, they'll do the right thing and send you the missing parts. The Hunter looks very good!
