Now this is a car that I've heard nothing about until you posted it here and this is indeed a good combination of the two kits that you used to get this result. Your efforts surely paid off in the end with one of the coolest Corvair rides I've seen yet.

Having owned a second gen ('65 to '69) Corvair I would have to say that in order for it to handle "extremely" well in a high powered, mid engine set up it would need a complete suspension unibody/frame and steering upgrade and rework. The stock suspension was designed for 6" by 13" wheels with bias ply tires and even putting on slightly larger radials strained the stock set up. Now mind you if you are cramming a Ferrari engine in a mid position you are not going to try to run stock suspension, brakes and steering anyway! By the time you are done all that would be Corvair about it is the body shell. I have seen a relatively modest mid engine 327 build and even that required major changes to all the systems. Now I want to model that 327 build though! Model of mine as it was when I owned it.

I think the Corvair is a nice looking car when built up right. This is a cool concept. Well done.
